    Few companies have paid a higher price for ethical misconduct than Boeing Co.
 
    Its respected chief executive resigned last week, six days after its chief financial officer was fired for cause.
 
    Harry Stonecipher, Boeing's new CEO, says it is a new era for the aerospace manufacturer, and ethics are paramount along with repairing relationships in Washington.
 
    If companies really want to change employee behavior, they have to make an example of wrongdoers, experts say. That will validate those who toe the line and put the fear of GOD into those who are tempted, although the deterrent effect eventually may wear off.
