Opportunities
GOD allowed Hurricane Katrina to purge many from unsafe dwellings,
destructive lifestyles, hateful social policies, non-caring gov't, etc., into
alternative opportunities for good.
GOD is showing us that "many evacuees seem convinced that
greater opportunities exist" away from New Orleans and are
in the process of finding jobs and homes, far fewer want to return.

GOD is also showing us the lazy, good-for-nothing type that is
refusing to work, rejecting offers-opportunities to better their lives,

On the education front, Hurricane Katrina has given new life to some of the most contentious ideas aimed at boosting student achievement. These school-choice strategies include vouchers.
Proponents of school choice suddenly have a high-profile opportunity that could provide leverage in other parts of the country.
