In the beginning GOD created the heavens and the earth.
2 The earth was without form, and void; and darkness on the face of the deep. And the Spirit of GOD was hovering over the face of the vapours.
3 Then GOD said, "Let there be light;" and there was light.
4 And GOD saw the light was good; and GOD divided the light from the darkness.
5 GOD called the light Day, and the darkness He called Night. So the evening and the morning were the first day.
6 Then GOD said, "Let there be an expanse in the midst of the vapour, and let it divide the vapour from the vapour."
7 Thus GOD made the expanse, and divided the vapour under the expanse from the vapour above the expanse; and it was so.
8 And GOD called the expanse Heaven. So the evening and the morning were the second day.
9 Then GOD said, "Let the vapour under the heavens be gathered together into one place, and let the dry appear."    Gen1

10 But the day of the LORD will come as a thief in the night, in which the heavens will pass away with a great noise, and the elements will melt with fervent heat; both the earth and the works that are in it will be burned up.
11 Therefore, since all these things will be dissolved, what manner ought you to be in holy conduct and godliness,
12 Looking for and hastening the coming of the day of GOD, because of which the heavens will be dissolved, being on fire, and the elements will melt with fervent heat?
13 Nevertheless we, according to His promise, look for new heavens and a new earth in which righteousness dwells.    2Pet3
 
NOW I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away.
5 Then He who sat on the throne said, "Behold, I make all things new." And He said to me, "Write, for these words are true and faithful."
6 And He said to me, "It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End.    Rev21

GOD, some years ago, insisted we qualify-explain several scriptures with the word "cycle."
 
GOD's promise in Revelation 10:7.."the mystery of GOD will be finished" simply tells us He will reveal all truth concerning His creation process and other sought-out mysteries.
 
GOD, in His timing, is revealing creation process as fact, proving His word is fact and truth to truth seekers, to enquiring minds who are open to a Creator GOD.
 
GOD in love shares His unsearchable mind, His intelligence with fully qualified believers, as He did with the Biblical Joseph who is the historical Imhotep for the great engineering marvels still unexplained today.
 
GOD in love also revealed cosmic truths to early believers, e.g., truth about the atom, later appearing in Greek poetry, yet not "discovered" until our time.

...A new theory of the origin of the cosmos is now being proposed by astrophysicists Paul Steinhardt of Princeton University and Neil Turok of Cambridge University: an oscillating universe that expands, stops, contracts and then bounces back in an eternal cycle. "The universe undergoes an endless sequence of cosmic epochs which begin with a bang and end in a crunch," the scientists will propose in a May issue of the journal Science.
